Non-Cycling Partners Welcome

If your partner isn’t a cyclist, you’ll find Mallorca has a lot to offer. Our Alcudia location is a short walk from the marina, and the hotel facilities are great too. Much of the island is easy to reach thanks to Mallorca’s transport links, and there are some great places close by. As the rides finish early afternoon, you’ll have plenty of time to spend with your partner and share stories of your day.

Every cycling day your expert Coach or Tour Leader will guide you on fantastic Mallorca cycling routes allowing you to experience the best of the island. The SportActive Team leaders and Mallorca local guides know every road and great location on the island, so each tour is one to remember. They excel at keeping a balanced pace for the group.

The Best Mallorca Cycling Routes

SportActive’s leaders and coaches ensure you cycle the safest, almost traffic free routes, leaving you free to enjoy the Mallorca landscape and talk with friends old and new. You’ll be taken to vibrant towns and tucked away villages, and enjoy wonderful food and coffee in cafes and bars often found in piazzas and other great locations. No doubt you’ll be talking about the day’s cycling route over dinner later that night!

Group Riding, Camaraderie and Friendship

Group riding makes for a great icebreaker so if you’re a solo traveller, a couple, or part of a larger group be assured you’ll be making friends. The team spirit and friendships that form are the kind that only cycling with like minded people can give you.

Don’t worry if you’ve never ridden in a group before. Our coaches and leaders will look after you so you can enjoy each day. The groups are exclusive to SportActive guests allowing the team to give you their full attention.

Puerto Alcúdia Location - Perfect

Itinerary, Cycling Location, and Profile

SportActive Cycle Centre Location

Your Cycling Holiday is located on the Balearic island of Mallorca, Spain.

Mallorca is known as the 'Paradise for cyclists' due to its weather conditions, smooth traffic free roads, rolling countryside, coastal routes, mountain climbs, and flat-undulating roads making it the ideal place for all types of cycling. We're situated in Puerto Alcùdia, on the north coast, the most picturesque part of Mallorca.

 

 

Mallorca Cycling Holiday Groups

5 structured cycle tours/week in ability groups.

Depending on numbers, we run up to 4 different groups. 

For both relaxed leisure cycling or more training focused, we use a Team Leader led group system. The groups never exceed 12 cyclists. You will never see a SportActive group of 20 people or more on the road!

As much as possible you choose which group you want to cycle in. For more performance focused groups, you need to be capable of riding the distance and speed.

Relaxed holiday cycling is open to all that want to join.

Typical Profiles

Leisure holiday focused groups

Pace : 3-5 hours per day of cycling in the sun!
Guided daily tours include a fantastic lunch stop in a local bar and coffee stops as needed.

Daily distance in km: The group is tailored to your ability and preferences and broadly, we cover around 30km/day. Your Team Leader will show you the best routes on the island, and as you cycle the smooth roads in the sun, you'll be surprised at how much nicer it is to cycle in Mallorca than almost anywhere else in the world. Kilometres for this group are capped at 50.

Performance focused groups

Pace: 3-6 hours per day improving your cycling skills and performance.
Guided daily rides including a fantastic lunch stop in a local bar plus coffee stops as needed.

Daily distance in km:  Depending on the ability of the group, up to 90 - 150 km per day

Cycling Groups at a Glance

Group 1 – Guided leisure cycling exploring the rolling countryside, coastal locations, and quaint towns and villages enjoying local lunch stops and cake, and cycling in the sun. Distances capped at 50 km.

Group 2 – Relaxed group cycling learning new skills and techniques. Cycle to great locations on smooth quiet roads in the sun, enjoying the best lunch and coffee stops.

Group 3 – Focused performance group where you’ll learn new skills and techniques, and improve your cycling performance. Depending on the abilities of the group, you’ll be taking on up to 100 km challenges cycling Mallorca’s iconic routes.

Group 4 – More intense performance focused group where you’ll perfect your performance and skills. Depending on the abilities of the group, you’ll be taking on 100 km+ challenges cycling Mallorca’s iconic cycling routes.

• An opportunity to meet and cycle with Cycling Legend Sean Kelly, patron of SportActive (Check dates)
• 5 guided group cycle tours/week, led by a Team Leader. Sunday to Friday; either training or more leisurely rides, depending on your preferences and ability. Wednesday rest-day.
• Saturday is the usual changeover day. Flexibility for arrival and departure on other days.
• 7 nights half board in the Hotel Zafiro Tropic & Spa****, 2 people sharing a standard studio.
• Shop with bike accessories and energy drinks/bars for sale.
• Hotel bike garage with secure bike storage.
• Free access to Spa, 25m heated outdoor training pool, fully equipped state of the art gym, and indoor pools.
• Group Airport Transfers on Saturdays: please check details here.
• Private airport transfers are available: You can request a private transfer which will be waiting for you at the airport and take you directly to your hotel. We'll organise this service for you. It'll be invoiced with your week and we'll instruct you where to meet the taxi driver.
