Geneva Nice 2019 – Conquering Cols Conquering Snowstorms Télégraphe & Galibier
Day 2 of Geneva to Nice started in good spirits. Here you can see Brian talk about one of his favourite climbs, Galibier.
The schedule included:
- Col du Télégraphe, (1566 m), 12 km, average gradient 7%, height gain 851 metres
- Col du Galibier (2646 m) 18.1 km, average gradient 6.9%, elevation gain: 1245 m
- Col du Lautaret (2058 m) As the team were so high they took on Lautaret from above, passing through towards Briançon
As the day unfolded, however, the team were greeted with a snowstorm. Here are some snapshots of our team who coped with it admirably.
Conquering a Tour de France col is even more satisfying in a snowstorm!
Geneva to Nice 2019 keeps you smiling even if the weather is not the best!
A great achievement!
New York’s Tony not only conquered Galibier and the snowstorm he gave an interview as well! What a legend!
Geneva to Nice is always full of surprises and this year is no exception.
