Foyle Cycling Club's Inishowen 100 miles, Sunday 15th August 2010(with also an Inishowen 50 option)
Foyle Cycling Club's flagship charity event - the Inishowen 100 - will be held on Sunday 15th August, 2010. The 100 mile route around the coast of the beautiful Inishowen peninsula will take cyclists through some of Ireland's most stunning scenery and several well known climbs, including Mamore Gap and Kinego Bay and will attract the more serious, often Club, cyclist who is confident of completing the hilly miles.
Following its success last year, we will again be offering an alternative 50 mile option, which by-passes the more difficult climbs, going through Buncrana, Dumfries, Carndonagh and Moville before returning via Muff to Derry. This route will be attractive to the less experienced cyclist.
Entry fee for both tours is £25, or £20 if registered before 1st August. Fees include all food stops, parking, showers, certificate and of course the 'must have' Inishowen 100 T shirt. Places are limited, so avoid disappointment, by booking on-line asap at Entry Central (http://www.entrycentral.com/index.php?raceID=100200), or by visiting the website www.foylecycling.net for an entry form and for further details. This year proceeds will go to the Northlands Centre, a community-based, independent centre for the support and treatment of people with alcohol problems www.northlands.org.uk
We look forward to seeing you on Sunday 15th... Foyle Cycling Club
