Our partner hotel in Majorca is the magnificent Estrella de Mar **** situated in the centre of Puerto de Alcudia, a luxurious Hotel, only 300 m from one of the longest and most beautiful beaches in Majorca, located on the picturesque north coast of the island.

Martin has a vast experience in cycling and has extensive knowledge of Majorca, gained with over 16 years of training on the island. He has competed in Europe and Australia in international road and track, finishing 4th in the World Master's Championship. He is also a qualified cycling coach. His native Donegal gave him a love for the hills, a passion that he has taken to many parts of the world. Martin also has many years experience in the tourist industry.
David is a former International racing cyclist with a long list of honours in both Europe and Ireland. He has achieved 17 open race wins in one year. He is also a qualified cycling coach. He first used Majorca as a training base over 20 years ago and has spent time there every year since both in training and in organizing active holidays. His interest in hill walking began as a schoolboy and was something he used during the off season as a means of recreation and keeping fit.
Flora Mittermair, General Manager of SportActive, comes from a downhill skiing background with also experience in mountain biking and running and has since moved to road bikes and now participates in cycle sportifs in France.
Sean Kelly was the world ranked number 1 cyclist for 48 consecutive months. Amongst his long palmares, can boast of 4 Tour de France green jerseys, victory in the Tour of Spain (plus 16 stages), 7 editions of Paris-Nice, 2 Tours of Switzerland, 1 Worldcup series, 1 Grand Prix des Nations in his list of successes. He was known as the king of the Classics: he won 2 Milan-San Remo, Paris-Roubaix and Liège-Bastogne-Liège as well as 3 Tour of Lombardy.
Alastair is a former international racing cyclist who has competed at the highest level; he was a double medal winner in the Commonwealth Games, and a former Tour of Ulster winner. He has great leadership skills and is very knowledgeable of Majorca's roads.
Jack Corken is a very experienced leader and has a vast knowledge of the Island of Majorca. Jackie is known for making his cyclists achieve a higher standard through his ability to pace the group and his group is now one of the most popular in the SportActive training camp.
Hello Folks. My name is Johannes Schernikau, but everybody here in Majorca calls me "Hannes". I raced competitively in Germany for 10 years as a successful amateur cyclist and I was lucky enough to be able to turn Pro. Unfortunately however Mother Nature only gave me a small engine and I gave up the pro-sport after 2 years. I ended up in the cycling paradise Majorca where I met my German wife Doris and together we created "The Velo Sport Team Mallorca" in 1994.
This partnership with SportActive in 2008 is a successful result of our 14 years activity as bike holiday organisation and Rental Company. We look forward to welcoming you in Majorca in 2008.
